"the scientist" and favorite science blogs

Scientistlogo Last year, the web site of the journal Nature posted a list of 50 popular science blogs, and bootstrap made the list. Now the weekly magazine The Scientist is also compiling a list. I see at least one kind soul has noted bootstrap in the comments, despite my distracted forays into non-science topics the past year. Although all the usual suspects are mentioned, there are some new blogs on the list that I haven't read before. Tonight, I'm going to sit down and go through the comments and find the blogs I've been missing. Go check out the post, discover some cool science blogs, and mention your favorites.

If you are visiting from TheScientist, welcome! Feel free to browse the greatest hits, birds and wildlife, or science and environment indices, or the natural history posts for a taste of what's here.
