Making the shots mandatory may be the only way to make sure that health insurance companies pay for them.

I haven't seen the kind of resistance to this vaccination in Canada that you're seeing in the US. What I have seen is a kind of "worry" about when to vaccinate--some silliness over the fact that this is mainly an STD, so can't vaccinate until close to the time sexual activity is likely. If the vaccination would be effective whenever, then of course it should be part of the childhood vaccination package, for both girls and boys. That we could vaccinate and prevent cervical cancer is fantastic. Hard to believe that there's resistance to it.

Heartie

Why not they making "cure" vaccine for people who already has HPV infected huh? Alot new vaccines to prevent some kind of diseases which aren't fair to other people who already has disease that can not protect or cure at all!!! if u feel total agree with me then post it to dumb scientists/medicares

Nuthatch

By definition, a vaccine creates an immunity to a disease -- so you can't make a vaccine for a disease you already have. As for a "cure" for HPV, most cases resolve themselves, but like most viruses the difficulty in eradicating them is that it typically requires killing the host cells in which they are reproducing. Nobody has found a cure for the common cold virus, either, but I'm sure we'd all welcome a vaccine to prevent it.

Generic Viagra

Good post where can I buy HPV vaccine to the best price?
