shout out to the spineless

I'm bumping this back to the top...
Just a reminder that the final edition for 2005 of Circus of the Spineless, the blog carnival about invertebrates, will appear here on December 31.  End the year with a bunch of creatures that were born without backbones, rather than a crowd whose spines have dissolved from alcohol.  Send your posts and photos of inverts right here to nuthatch DOT ba AT gmail DOT com.   Any taxa will do, and those outside of Insecta are especially welcome.  Deadline is noonish on December 30.

As tony knows, I have a phobia of invertebrates, so I'll be skipping this circus, especially if you're posting pictures. The Google Earth trick was great - I wish I had possessed it before my Christmas Count :-). I'll just have to keep commenting on the crossbill post until it's figured out.
